Envista Water-Borne Urethane

Envista Water-Borne Urethane is a high solids, solvent free, low odor polyurethane finish that has virtually no yellowing, unlike many other polyurethanes. It has excellent scuff and mar resistance, it also has very good water and chemical resistance. It gives a very nice smooth finish that is very easy to clean.
Envista Water-Borne Urethane is a great finish to use on cabinets, interior furniture, table tops, doors, trim, log cabin walls and ceilings and anywhere a high build finish is desired.
Available in the following gloss levels:

Available in 1QT, 1GAL, 5GAL & 55GAL drum.
Application Instructions:
Wood Prep:
Sand the wood with 150-220 grit sandpaper then apply the Envista wiping stain with a sprayer or brush. Try to wipe off the stain with a rag 1-3 minutes after spraying.
Sanding the wood with a fine grit sandpaper 150-220 will smooth off more of the coarse grains and result in less grain raise.
After applying the stain you can apply the first coat of urethane after 10-20 minutes.
Apply the urethane with an airless or air assist sprayer with a #10 or #12 fine finish tip. The urethane may also be applied with a soft bristle varnish brush or paint applicator pad. We do not recommend applying Envista Urethane with a roller as that may create bubbles.
Allow the finish to dry thoroughly before sanding and applying the top coat (approximately 2 hours depending on environmental conditions).
Sand between coats with 150-220 grit sandpaper. In most cases, two coats are sufficient. The Envista Urethane may be thinned down with water, however we do not recommend thinning as that is detrimental to the mil thickness.
We recommend one coat of Envista Wiping Stain and two heavy coats of Envista Urethane.
After the second coat, wait overnight or 10 hours to put furniture together and be sure Max 3400 to use 1/4” or 1/16” foam between the wood to ensure the finish does not stick together. Do not stack face to face until finish has cured properly for 48 hours. If used outside, allow to cure for 3-4 days before setting it outside.
Apply each coat of urethane at 4-6 wet mils.
Envista Urethane also works well with a green fast cure system.
